![]() The great "Brando" Ch. Olde Fashion the Wild Onebred by Olde Fashion Basset Hounds owned and loved by Brian and Marilee Epperson ![]() I grew up with Basset Hounds. They have always brought joy to me. I always knew that no matter how many breeds throughout my life I would like to own, I'd always go back to Bassets. I am ready to do that now, and have Bassets for the rest of my life. They suit me. Gosh, I love Basset Hounds!!!! My favorite is Virgil...Ch. Sasquatch Olde Fashion Me Too, you can look him up at Olde Fashion Basset Hounds, owned by Jane Baetz...I just wish Jane would send me Virgil to love and squeeze and look at all day. But she can't part with him. Can you blame her, all of her dogs are gorgeous! I want a Basset who will grow up to have a face like that!!! Virgil is "my" ideal Basset Hound. My problem is all the Bassets I had came as adults. I don't know how to look at a puppy and tell if it will grow up with my ideal face. Am I too picky? Some might think so, I just know what I want and I need the help of a breeder for that. Then there's the incredible Bassets of Bugle Bay. My all time favorite site and hounds to visit. Margery Cook is a Basset genius! People tell me her litters are spoken for many times over. She's very quick to get back to your inquiries, and very easy to deal with. She's amazing and her hounds are to die for. I know...I'm dying for one, oh, to have a hound named after some kind of food, her trademark, if I run across a gorgeous hound who goes by Pineapple, Six Pack, Taco Belle, or Macaroni, I know exactly where that dog came from. I came very close last year to getting a pup, was days away from a pure Bugle Bay pup bred by High Desert Bassets of Santa Fe, NM, but sadly the owner of the stud picked the pup I was in line for. Since I'm still waiting on my Basset, and I've been waiting for years... I thought I'd make this site with links to my favorite sites and (I hope) useful information, along with some basset pics I took at various shows and specialties. I am hoping to get a pup soon. And when my friend Sheila, who has two Bugle Bays has pups, I know I'm on the list for a Brewster faced boy, so I know it won't be long before I'm posting pictures of my Basset Hounds here, them growing up, playing, showing, tracking, storm chasing, all that fun stuff I do with my dogs. Please go and visit them, they're fabulous! And check back here often as I add things that I find useful and and add pictures when I can. Thank you.
