Our hearts are broken, but he'll be in our hearts forever! Love you Cory! Welcome to Windsong Portuguese Water Dogs and Old English Sheepdogs. My name is Joanne and I am a small hobby breeder located on 40 acres of meadow and Ponderosa Pines in Colorado. I work for a division of PETA rehabilitating fleas and ticks that have been incapacitated by flea collars. How did I get into Portuguese Water Dogs? It was out of necessity really. My Old English Sheepdogs are Catholic and were frankly tired of tuna on Fridays during lent. Since my job at PETA requires such long hours I didn't have time to fish each day to feed my Old English so I had to rethink it. I had heard the PWDs were capable of swimming schools of fish into nets, well that turned out to be JUST what I needed. Thanks to the PWDs, my Sheepdogs have all the fresh carp they can stomach and in fact we get such a haul that my husband Cheeves (see background on OE page) got to quit his job as Head Sheep Dipper at a large Station in New South Wales, came home, purchased a freezer and now operates our small canning business out of the barn. Oh it's not Camelot by any means, but it pays the bills,entry fees, allows us to contribute to various food banks, and gives Cheeves time to work on his passion in life...the aqualung. I have many interests aside from the fishing and the dogs. They include: Cooking Scrapbooking Voodoo Underwater Basket Weaving Hair Restoration Calf Pulling Bugging Buzzards (That's NOT buggering) and Hang Gliding Yes, my days are full,and so are my nights...Thanks Cheeves, you animal you, but I digress.
