Watching over the herdWhy Jo...why don't you tell us what got you interested in Old English and showing and breeding these fabulous dogs?!?
"Well...While herding my Yaks to the summer pasture, I came upon the monastery at Our Lady of Perpetual Sorrow, in Hygiene, Colorado. The monks offered to water my herd and saw that I was having a time of it, trying to keep my yaks in line. Being that the yaks were bigger than sheep, the monks offered to show me a demonstration of their Old English Sheepdogs. The next thing I knew I was drinking Ragweed Wine, dining on Prairie Dog Bisque, and watching in amazement as the Sheepdogs went through their paces. I was hooked!!! Fashioning yak horns on them wasn't easy but I'll say this, they sure fool the coyotes. The monks graciously gave me a lovely bitch...June, and I easily got the herd to pasture. I've had Old English ever since. They also loaned me Brother Cheeves (see main page) whose been with me from day one, even deciding to leave the monkhood for a life of dogs and debauchery.
"The Sheepdogs have been a big part of my life. Thank you to the Monks at OLofPS, you guys rock!"
